Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the commonest blood cancer in children. But it also affects adolescents and young adults. This teenage group suffering with leukemia poses unique problems which includes adverse disease biology as well as special psycho social problem, fertility issue and hormonal abnormality and requires a different treatment approaches.

While addressing the specific issue he also discussed the newer developments in the field and its use in India.
